JEANINE S. DOMMER, age 82, of Hobart, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2013. Jeanine was born on February 6, 1931 in Chicago to Joseph and Viola Comer. She was a lifelong area resident and a 1949 graduate of Portage High School. Jeanine worked for many years as a hardware clerk at Ace Hardware in Merrillville. She was an active member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church. Jeanine will be deeply missed.

Jeanine is survived by her son, Gregory (Donna) Dommer of Hobart; 2 daughters, Marianne (Michael) Scott of Carmel and Deborah (Myron) Deviney of Maumee, OH; 5 grandchildren and 4 great granddaughters; sisters, Marian Hawk of CA and Delores Russell of Valparaiso; other loving family and friends.

She was recently preceded in death by her husband, Raymond in June; and daughter, Sheree.

A funeral service for Jeanine will be Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6240 Grand Blvd., Hobart with Rev. Frederic Lams officiating. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville. Visitation is Friday, November 8, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W.
