Jeffrey "Jeff" Flatt, age 60, of Valparaiso, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Porter Regional Hospital. Jeff was born on January 25, 1956 to the late Floyd and Helen (nee Humphrey) Flatt. He graduated from Hobart High School in 1974. Jeff enjoyed bowling. He was a Chicago White Sox and Blackhawks fan. He was also an avid fan of Jeff Gordon.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 27 years, Karen (nee Hanes) Flatt; sons, Eric (Rachael) Flatt, David (Rebecca) Hutchins; grandchildren, Julia and Madison; sister, Karen Davenport; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barbara; and two cats, Shedah and Dusty.

Visitation for Jeff will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2016 from 2-8 pm at the funeral home. A Funeral service, with Father Mick Kopil officiating, will take place Monday, November 28, 2016 at 11 am at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, IN 46342.
