Jeffrey Wayne Depper, age 55 of Hobart passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013. He was born on July 9, 1958 in Galesburg, Illinois. He was a Hobart resident for the past 6 years and was formerly of Dyer. Jeffrey worked for Allen's Towing. He was also an amateur radio operator with call sign KB9UUO and loved fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn Depper of Hobart, IN; parents, Forrest and Helen Depper of Casa Grande, AZ; 4 brothers, F.W. "Chic" (Susan Ebersohl) Depper of Springfield, IL; Steve (Linda) Depper of Hammond, IN; Mark Depper of Caseyville, IL; Brian (Debra) Depper of Hobart, IN; 2 sisters-in-law, Robinann (Kenneth D. Berry) Torzewski of Highland, IN; Ericka Marie (Mark) Christenson of St. John, IN; 4 aunts, Betty Gibbons of Salem, MO; Carol Heilmann of Swansea, IL; Peggy (Jack) Boerm of Collinsville, IL; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Cremation will take place with Rees Funeral Home and Cremation Service. There will be a memorial service on Friday, January 3, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Associate Pastor Roy Moffitt officiating.
