Jeffrey E. Amstein, age 35, of Madison, Wisconsin and formerly of Portage passed away Monday November 2, 2015 in St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. Jeffrey was born September 1, 1980 in Valparaiso, Indiana to Jeffrey and Nancy (Maciejewski) Amstein. Jeffrey was a boat salesman for SkipperBud's in Madison and had been a volunteer fire fighter in Lake Denton, WI. He was very active and loved being outdoors with his two dogs.

Jeffrey is survived by his parents Jeffrey and Nancy Amstein of Porter; his sister Andrea Amstein of Portage; his three nephews Jason, Carter and Bryce Kobe; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and two canine pals ZZ and Pop's.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Robert and Margaret Amstein and Edward and Josephine Maciejewski.

Funeral services for Jeffrey will be conducted Monday November 9, 2015 at 11:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, IN 46368 with Rev. James W. Meade officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-8 pm and Monday from 9 am until the time of the service at the Funeral Home.

Memorial gifts are preferred to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in lieu of flowers.
