Jeffrey W. Foerg, age 71, of Westville, Indiana and formerly Hobart, Indiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on the morning of Wednesday, December 25, 2024.Jeffrey was born on January 31, 1953 to Betty Button and Robert Foerg in Winamac, Indiana. He was a dedicated and diligent, hard worker who spent many years working for Stewart's Business Machines in Gary, Indiana. After his tenure at Stewart's, Jeffrey spent the remainder of his career as the head maintenance technician for Ivy Tech Community College at the Valparaiso, Indiana campus. Jeffrey retired from Ivy Tech at 65, but those who know and love him, knew retirement would never keep him from staying busy. Jeffrey was an avid fisherman. He took many fishing and camping trips with his family and friends, but most of all, he loved working in his garage. If you would ask any of his children or grandchildren, you would be emphatically told that he "could fix anything!" Jeff also had a love of cars and enjoyed working on all types of vehicles from restoring classics to motorcycles to making repairs to the cars of family and friends. Jeffrey will be fondly remembered as a loving Husband, Father, Papa, Uncle, Cousin, and dear friend.

Jeffrey is survived by his wife of 17 years, Kim (nee Nuzzo) Foerg; Six children: Kriste (Michael) Bell, Craig (Connie) Foerg, Eric (Jessica) Foerg, Heather (Michael) Ames, Ashley Karczewski, and John Karczewski, Jr.; Thirteen grandchildren, Meghan (Ronald Shore) Bell and Aaron Bell, Kyle Foerg and Evan Foerg; Willow Foerg, Elliana Ogg, Evelyn Ogg, and Artemis Ogg; Katelyn Ames, Mason Ames, Madison Ames, and Erin Ames; Lucas Karczewski; and one great-granddaughter, Aurora Shore.

Jeffrey is also survived by his father-in-law, Frank Nuzzo; brother Garry (Kim) Foerg; sister Rebecca (Rick) Rivers; and brothers-in-law, Ronald Anderson, Jim Fredel, Frank (Betty) Nuzzo, Chuck (Sue) Nuzzo, and Mike (Helen) Nuzzo; and many cousins, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and special friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Foerg, and Betty and Donald Brown, his high school sweetheart and first wife of 32 years, Deborah (nee Knouff) Foerg; sister, Cindy Fredel; mother and father-in-law James and Genevieve Knouff; mother-in-law, Angie Nuzzo; brother-in-law, James Knouff, Jr; sisters-in-law Kathleen Anderson, Roberta Knouff, and Cindy Barrell; and nephew, Ryan Rivers.

Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of the donor's choice in Jeffrey's honor.
