Jeffrey L Luttrell, Sr.

Jeffrey L. Luttrell, Sr. "Jeff" or 'Papaw', age 63 of Hobart passed away Sunday September 15, 2024, with all his loved ones by his side in St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. Jeff was born July 14, 1961, in Rensselaer, Indiana to the late Ray and Peggy (Cain) Luttrell. He worked as a delivery driver for Tom's Vending Company. He attended the Rock Church. Jeff loved playing cards, BINGO, and going to the casino. He loved Playing guitar and singing, gardening, and fishing. He was a member of the Izaak Walton League in Hobart and took care of mowing the club grounds and half of his neighborhood. He was a veteran of the Indiana National Guard.

Jeffrey is survived by his loving wife, Janey; two sons, Jeffrey L. Luttrell, Jr. and Brian (Shelly) Luttrell both of Hobart; one daughter, Michelle (Tommy) Sorba of Florida; ten grandchildren, Andrew, David, Jr., Matthew, Addison, Noah, Autumn, Summer, Cheyenne, Savannah, and Scarlett; six great grandchildren; a brother, Mike (Kelly)Luttrell of Kentucky; a brother-in-law, John (Melody) Williams of Illinois; two sisters, Melonie (John) Igoe of North Carolina and  Pam Conner of Illinois; a sister-in-law, Belinda Luttrell of Rensselaer; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers, Tim and Little Ray.

Visitation will be Thursday September 19, 2024, from 12:00 noon to 5:30 pm at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana 46342. His funeral will follow immediately at 5:30 pm with Pastor David Stovall officiating. Cremation will follow.
