Jeffrey D. Tankersley

Jeffrey Dale Tankersley, age 47, of Portage passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016. Jeffery was born on December 8, 1968 in Gary, Indiana to Jack and Joyce (nee Wafford) Tankersley. Jeffrey preached salvation in Messiah and was an astute scholar of the word. He will be remembered as a loving son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend.

Jeffrey is survived by his parents, Jack and Joyce Tankersley; brother, Vincent (Holly) Tankersley and many aunts, uncles, cousins and other loving family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, October 16, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave, Portage, Indiana 46368, with Rabbi Mike Royer officiating. Cremation will follow. Memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service also at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.
