Jennie R. Ramirez, age 75, of Hobart, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022. She was born on February 27,1947 in Gary, Indiana to the late Joaquin and Mary Aleman. On April 19,1971 Jennie married the love of her life, the late Hector Ramirez. She was a member of Nativity of Our Savior Church in Portage, and retired from St. Elizabeth, where she worked as a housekeeper. Jennie loved spending time with her family, cooking, and baking. She also enjoyed her time with her friends at TOPS and the YMCA. She will be remembered for her loving smile and the great love she showed to everyone that knew her. Jennie is survived by her; sons, Joseph Ramirez, Hector Ramirez, Jr., Robert (Delicia) Ramirez; grandchildren, Joseph (Malorie) Ramirez, Jr., Xavier Ramirez, Eduardo Joaquin Ramirez, Roman Ramirez, Kody Ramirez; two sisters, Josephine Martinez and Irene Ortiz; sister-in-law, Donna Aleman; her-in-laws, Ophelia Garcia, Paula Meyers, Oscar (Shelly) Ramirez, Harry Ramirez, Olga (Phillip) Kwolek, Mary (Hubert) Lopez, Jimmy (Judith) Ramirez, Yolanda Ramirez; and many loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Paul Aleman and Eddie Aleman; brothers-in-law, Virgil, Pablo and Gonzalo Ramirez; sister-in-law, Antonia Ramirez. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday, April 8,2022 at 11:00 am at Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church, 2949 Willowcreek Road, Portage with visitation there from 9:00 am until the time of service.
