Jennifer N. Teel, age 29, of Lake Station, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2011. She is survived by her sons, Nathan Romo, of Vancouver, WA; Andrew Collins and Landon Teel, of Portage; three brothers, Dean Teel III, of Hobart; and Kenneth and Dustin Swisher, of Portage; mother, Maria Jones, of Portage; grandmothers Rosemary Zimmerman, of Burns Harbor; and Cheryl (Robert) Goodwin, of LaPorte; two nieces and a host of extended family. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Swisher, and grandfathers Jim Swisher and William Penwell. Jennifer will forever be remembered as a fiercely devoted mother, loving family member and kind, selfless friend. Visitation for Jennifer will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, December 19, 2011, at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be greatly appreciated.
