Jerome Steele, age 80, of Hobart passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 4, 1935 in Graham, Kentucky to the late John and Delia Steele. He was a retired Steelworker and Salary Supervisor who worked at Inland Steel. Jerome was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Jerome is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Jerry (nee Shifley) Steele; two sons, Steve Steele and Robert Steele Sr. both of Hobart; daughter, Cheryl Steele of Hobart; three grandchildren, Robert Steele Jr., Joshua (Amanda) Hughes and Tiffany (Josh) Campos; two great-grandchildren, Ava and Emory; sister, Mary Humphrey of Lowell, and other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Texcel Steele and sister, Patsy Ferrell.
