Jerry L. Brake, of Lake Station, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. He was born on November 21, 1954 to the late William and Georgia Brake. He was a member of 29th Avenue Baptist Church in Lake Station. In his free time, Jerry enjoyed riding his motorcycle and playing guitar. His grandchildren were the center of his world. Jerry will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend who loved to laugh.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife, AndreMarie Brake; daughter, Katrina (Luis) Leal; sons, Billy Togtman, Charles (Ana) Valenta; grandchildren, Tatiana, Adrian, Mason, Emma; brothers, George Brake, Ronnie (Darlene) Brake, Mark Brake, John "Jay" (Bev) Bogaski; sister, Peggy Cross; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Denny Brake.

A memorial service for Jerry will take place on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 4:00pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd. Hobart, IN 46342 with Pastor Donald Good officiating.
