Obituary
Jerry W. Hume, age 78, of Portage passed away Sunday May 11, 2014 at Miller's Merry Manor in Portage. He was born August 25, 1935 in Allerton, IA to the late Dallas Merlin and Deloris Clara (Heilman) Hume. Jerry was a Mechanical Engineer who retired from the Budd Company retiring in 1982.
Jerry is survived by two sons Michael (Bonnie) Hume and Jeffrey (Emily) Hume both of Lexington, NC; one daughter Kim Hume of Panama City Beach, FL; one brother Robert (Jesse) Hume of North Carolina; six grandchildren Michael, Anita, Jason, Jennifer, Jeffrey and Jeremy.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and one son Mark Hume.
Private memorial services will be conducted at a later time. Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel assisted with services.
