Jerry D. Stewart, age 69, of Hobart, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018.  He was born on November 19, 1948 in Gary, Indiana to the late Donald and Virginia Stewart. Jerry was employed as an operating engineer and worked for local #150.

He is survived by his son, Craig Stewart; daughters, Linda (Dave) DeRose, Kimberly (Jim) Spencer; grandchildren, David (Erin) Trowbridge, Jessica DeRose, Austin Spencer, Shelby Spencer, Kaitlyn Stewart, Skylar (Jared) Rippe; one great granddaughter, Charlotte Trowbridge.

Jerry was preceded in death in 1990 by his loving wife, Linda. Memorial contributions in Jerry's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5635 West 96 ^th Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278.

Per the family's wishes, all services are private. He will be laid to rest at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville.
