Jesse Norman, age 69, of Portage, passed away Sunday May, 15, 2016 at St. Mary Medical Center. He was born October 20, 1946 to the late Gerald and Shirley (nee Boles) Norman. Jesse graduated in East Chicago from Washington High School in 1964. Jesse was a proud member of the United States Army, 1st Air Calvary. He was also a member of the VFW post # 7760 in Portage. He will always be remembered as a generous and loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle.
Jesse is survived by his loving wife, Janice, of 46 years; son, Jesse Norman; daughters, Christine (Scott) Smith, Angela (James) Lamprecht, Lori Norman; grandchildren, Jacob, Antonio, Paige, Arianna, Sovatnary; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Ann McCloud.
Military Honors will take place Friday, May 20, 2016 at 7:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave. Portage, IN 46368.
