Jessie Hennings, age 81, passed away Friday, October 14, 2011 at VNA Hospice in Valparaiso. She was born July 23,1930 in Littlerock, Arkansas the daughter of Jesse and Laura Sinks. Jessie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 58yrs. Willis Hennings Jr. of Lake Station, daughter, Donna (Thomas A.) Pappas, 5 sons; Kensey Alsman of Chesterton, Lloyd T. (Tammy) Alsman of Portage, Willis J., Michael L and Jeffery A. Hennings all of Lake Station, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Deborah A. Hennings.
A funeral service for Jessie will be held Monday, October 17,2011 at 10:00 am with Pastor Dannie Tackett officiating, at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 16,2011 from 1:00 until 6:00pm also at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.Burial at Calvary.
