Jesus Victor Cantu

Jesus V. Cantu, Jr., age 66, of Hobart passed away peacefully in his home Saturday November 19, 2022. 'Jessico' was born August 6, 1956, in Gary, Indiana to the late Jesus and Eva (Maldonado) Cantu, Sr. Jesus worked for US Steel as a Crane Operator after serving eleven years in the US Army.  He Loved shooting pool and was quite good at it.

He is survived by three daughters, Erika (Michael) Boston of Charleroi, PA, Jessika (Ashley) Cantu of Hobart, and Elizabeth (Edward) Haynes of Hobart; twelve grandchildren, Anthony, Mariah, Jarred, Brandon, Leigha, Jordan, Dessa, Micah, Lukah, Tripp, Jaxon, and Cooper; one great grandson, Giovanni; his uncles, George (Diane) Maldonado of Valparaiso, and Jesse (Nilsa) Maldonado of Hobart.

He was preceded in death by wife, Bonnie Lou Cantu; his parents and stepfather, Jesus Cantu, Sr. and Eva (Bacilio) Garcia.

Graveside services for Jessico will be in Maplewood Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors on Saturday December 10, 2022 at 10:00 am.
