Jesus M. Miranda, age 83, of Chicago Illinois passed away Tuesday December 4, 2012. He was born October 5, 1929 in Jalisco, Mexico to the late Albert and Rosa (Martinez) Miranda. He was a retired Tool and Die Maker retiring from Kropp Forge. He was a US Army veteran serving in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He was a former member of the International Die Sinkers Union and the American Legion.
Jesus is survived by three sons; Roland (Penny) Miranda of DeMotte, Raymond (Kathleen) Miranda of Crown Point and Jesse (Lisa) Miranda of Romeoville, IL one daughter; Rose Marie Bright of Omaha, NE nine grandchildren; Daniel Miranda, Joshua Miranda, Christopher Miranda, Matthew (Nicole) Miranda, Julie Bright, Erika Harris, William Bright, Katherine Bright and Phillip Bright; numerous great grandchildren, brother and sisters; Robert (Mary) Miranda of East Chicago, Charlotte (Albert) Lopez of Houston, TX and Gloria Sanchez of Seattle, WA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, loving wife Maria, grandson Charles Punteney and sister Beatrice Labreola.
Funeral services will be 2 pm Sunday December 9, 2012 at Rees Funeral Home, Winfield Chapel 10909 Randolph St. Winfield/Crown Point, IN 46307. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until the time of the services at 2 pm.
