Joan C. Cyprian (nee Felton), age 69, of Lake Station, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014. She was born on December 27, 1944 in Gary, Indiana to the late George and Evelyn Felton. Joan retired from Bethlehem Steel after 27 years of working as an Electrician. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, wife, grandmother, aunt and very special friend to many.

Joan is survived by four children, Pamela (Elbert) Emerson, Ernest Cyprian Jr., Sherry Cyprian and Kenneth Cyprian; five grandchildren, Joanie Emerson, Valerie Emerson, Michael Cyprian, Timothy Cyprian and Michelle (Christopher) Dagon; four great grandchildren, Kaitlin Dagon, Landon Dagon, Alyssa Cyprian and Ethan Emerson.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Cyprian Sr.; parents, George and Evelyn Felton; brothers, David Felton and Clifford Felton. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the family would be appreciated.

A funeral service for Joan will take place Friday, November 21, 2014 at 11:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with James Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 20, 2014 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
