JOAN C. EASTON, age 86, of Hobart, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at St. Mary Medical Center.  She was born in Gary, IN on November 9, 1932 to the late Edmond and Anna Jablonski.  Joan was a member of St. Bridget Church and worked as a seamstress for many years.  Joan adored her grandchildren and cherished the time she spent with them.

She is survived by her 7 children, Richard (Margaret) Easton of Elkhart, Laura (late Ben) Hasza of Hobart, Dennis (Lee) Easton of Goshen, John (Susan) Easton of Highland, Mark (Andrea) Easton of Hobart, Lynda (J.D.) Carey of Hobart, Dean (Collette) Easton of Hobart; grandchildren, Richard, III, Danny, Richard, Ryan, Kristine, Michael, Dennis II, Hailey, Alexander, Olivia, Heather, Kelly, Maryssa, Cayleb, and Zoe; great grandchildren, Madison, Jackson, Abigail, and Greyson; sister, Carol Ann (Roger) Wilson; special pets, Fizzbit and Shadow.

Joan was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Easton and sister, Edwina Hodges.

A funeral service for Joan will be Friday, July 12, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart.
