Obituary
JOANN NIXON, age 85, of Hobart passed away Monday July 16, 2012 at the Christ Medical Center in Chicago, IL. Born September 30, 1926 in Oakwood, Illinois to the late Arley and Rosa (Mendenhall) Dunavan.
JoAnn is survived by two daughters Maryanne (John) Null of Valparaiso and Lynda (Bob) Smith-Barry of Riverview, FL; four grandchildren Melanie (Mike) Widhalm, Jessica Nixon, Caleb Smeltzer and Noah Smeltzer; and three great grandchildren Cooper and Griffin Widhalm and Emma Lake.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband James W. Nixon and her daughter Cindy Jo Hetra.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday July 21, 2012 at Rees Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday July 21, 2012 at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana.
