Joseph L. Piscione, age 89 of Hobart passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024. He was born on February 12, 1935, in Gary, Indiana to the late Anthony and Josephine Piscione. On June 12, 1954, he married Carol Fedyna at St. Luke's Church in Gary. Joe was a member of St. Bridget Catholic Church. He retired after twenty plus years of working as an accountant. He owned and operated Budget Bookkeeping, Inc. until he sold the company to his son. Joe had a strong work ethic and dedicated his life to taking care of his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Carol Piscione; sons, Joseph (Nana) Piscione, Thomas (Mickie) Piscione, Edward (Patti) Piscione, Anthony (Lavonne) Piscione; 11 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; sister, Mary Campbell; and many loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Krause; parents, Anthony and Josephine Piscione; and sisters, Rose Royko, Yolanda Nemtuda, Florence Piscione. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hobart Humane Society or the Hobart Food Pantry.

Visitation for Joe will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart.  A funeral service will take place at 12:00 pm at the funeral home.
