Joe Pridemore

Joseph W. Pridemore, age 68, of Lake Station passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2023. He was born on June 18, 1955, in Big Stone Gap, Virginia to the late Joe and Viola Pridemore. Joe retired from Gary Steel Products and then went on to work as a security guard for Lake Park Residential. He was a dedicated member of the United Pentecostal Church and volunteered his time visiting nursing homes to minister to the sick. He was a wonderful man with a great sense of humor. He was an avid sports fan and loved watching the Cubs. When his son was in Cub Scouts, he served as Cub Master for three years. He will always be remembered for his dedication to his loving family.

He is survived by his wife, Christine Pridemore; son, Jared Pridemore; grandson, Corbyn Pridemore; sister, Betty Ortiz; sister-in-law, Beth Heideman; brother-in-laws, Mike (Carla) Heideman, Greg (Roxie) Heideman, Steve (Gloria) Heideman; and many loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Viola Pridemore; brother, Larry Pridemore; sisters, Gerri Wright and Francis Bickett.

A funeral service for Joe will take place Monday, June 26, 2023 at 12:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Ave., Lake Station with Pastor Marty Law officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service. He will be laid to rest at McCool Cemetery. For more information, please call (219) 962-1606.
