John B. Baskevice, Jr. "Oh Johnnie", age 80 of Lake Station passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023, in his home. John was born November 22, 1942, in Taylor Michigan to the late John and Doris (Avery) Baskevice, Sr. He was a retired Warehouse Supervisor working for the Grinnell Corporation. He was a member of Dunedin Fine Arts Club, loved attending "Live Strong" Cancer Camps, swimming at the Key Largo YMCA. He was a former Scuba Instructor and traveled extensively doing diving tours. He was the captain of the Taylor Center High School track team. John was one of the most positive people you could ever meet. He was a proud veteran of the US Army.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Dawn Baskevice of Lake Station; two sisters, Dorene Baskevice, and Jeanie Feazel; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and five granddoggers and Queen the Cat.

John will be cremated with no attended services at this time. A celebration of his life will be scheduled at a future date. Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel was entrusted with John's services.
