John A. Blazic

John A. Blazic, aged 77, of Portage passed away Saturday August 8, 2026, at Northwest Health-Porter in Valparaiso. John was born September 30, 1948, to the late John T. and Ann Blazic in Michigan. John was a retiree of US Steel, Gary Works, and a proud member of the United Steelworker Union. He was also a veteran of the US Army.

John is survived by many dear friends including Norberto Ojeda, his neighbor.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John, and Ann; a brother; and a sister.

John wished to be cremated with no attended services at this time. Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel assisted with arrangements.
