John L. Carlotta-

Age 83, of Lake Station passed away January 13, 2020 at his daughters' home. He was born on October 10, 1936 to the late John S. and Wava (nee Johnson) Carlotta in Hammond, Indiana. John retired from LTV where he worked as a foreman and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a faithful member of Living Word Sanctuary in South Haven. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather; brother, uncle and friend.

John is survived by his five children, Tom WiIlison, Doug Porter, Diana (Bill) Pitchford, Tammy (Robert) Hill and Cynthia Carlotta; seven grandchildren, Joseph T. (Jennifer) Willison, Ricardo (Victoria) Carlotta, Kyle (Megan) Carlotta, Nicolas Merced, Michael (Raquel) Wood, Justine Carlotta and Kaitlin (Quinn) Salinas-Parks;  11 great grandchildren, brother, David (Sharon) Carlotta;  two sisters, Shirley Stevens and Donna Frances.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Zondra Carlotta; daughter, Shawn Carlotta; his parents, John S. and Wava Carlotta; grandson, Thomas Anthony Wood and brother, Gerald (Joyce) Carlotta.

A funeral service will be held Friday, January 17, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Rees Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Ave. Lake Station, Indiana 46405. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville.
