Obituary
JOHN E. CURTIS, age 87, of Portage, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2012 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. John was a Portage resident since 1953 and a US Air Force Veteran during WW II. He retired from Dixie Dairy in 1986 with 30 years of service.
He is survived by his daughter, Christine (Bruce) Block of St. Charles, IL, daughter-in-law, Patricia Curtis of Las Vegas, NV, granddaughter, Tara Curtis, who was his caregiver, of Portage, and 4 other grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, brother, Phillip (Phyllis) Curtis of Merrillville, and sister, Mildred (Lindel) Fraley of Valparaiso. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Curtis and 2 sons, John P. and Harley Paul Curtis.
