John Michael Garcia, Jr., age 25 of Portage, passed away Monday, December 30, 2013. He was born on June 25, 1988 in Valparaiso, IN, to John Garcia Sr. and Tonya (nee Hill) Wiley. He was a lifetime NW Indiana resident. John was a Lab Tech for St. Mary Medical Hospital. He will be dearly missed.

John is survived by his parents, John (Debra) Garcia Sr. of Portage and Tonya (Sam) Wiley of Columbus OH; Maternal Grandparents, Terry (Donna Lyons) Hill; Paternal Grandparent, Mitzi (nee Broman) Garcia; one brother, Michael Garcia of Hobart; one sister, Chelsie Garcia of Columbus, OH; Nephew, Zale and Niece, Irene.

He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandfather, John Garcia.

There will be a Funeral Service on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave. Portage, IN with Rev. Bob Burton officiating; Burial will follow at McCool Cemetery in Portage, IN. A Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2013 from 2 – 8 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.
