John E. Hajtovik, age 67, of Lake Station passed away Monday July 1, 2013 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. John was born January 13, 1946 in Gary, Indiana to the late Joseph and Mary (Kraynak) Hajtovik. He was an Auto mechanic working for several Ford Dealerships in the area. He was a member of 29th Avenue Baptist Church in Lake Station.
John is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Donna Hajtovik, several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Helen Gilbey, and three brothers James, Robert and Joseph Hajtovik.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday July 5, 2013 at Rees Funeral home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, IN 46368 with Rev. John Hurt officiating. Burial will follow in McCool Cemetery in Portage. Visitation will be Thursday July 4 from 2-8 pm at the funeral home.
