John Walker, Jr.

JOHN WALKER, JR., age 88, of Hobart, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012 at home. He was a longtime resident and a retiree of Inland Steel. John was also a member of the F.O.E. in Hobart and Glen Park. He enjoyed fishing. John will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather.

John is survived by son, David (Gina) Walker of Crown Point; daughter, Jonnie L. Buncich of Lowell and son-in-law, John Buncich; stepchildren, Linda (Randall) Golden of Arkansas, Kathy (Jim) Whitaker of Hobart, Cindy (Rick) Yover of Knox, and Joe (Paula) Lozano of Hobart; daughter-in-law, Debbie Walker of Hobart; 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; loving nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Maxine Mullins Walker and Darlene Joy Walker; son, Dale G. Walker;parents, John Sr. and Viola Walker and 9 siblings.

A funeral service for John will be Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, with Preacher Jerry Cleek officiating.
