JOHN P. "RED" KALITA, age 63, of Merrillville, and formerly of Aetna/Miller, passed away Monday, July 13, 2015. He was a former member of St. Mary of the Lake and was a retired Mercedes Benz car salesman. John grew up in Aetna and was very active in Aetna Little League. He was a 1970 graduate of Wirt High School where he played tennis, football, and hockey. John also graduated from Indiana University in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science.

John is survived by his sister, Margaret "Peggy" Ellis; nephew, Eric Brown, all of Branson, MO; other loving family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John M. and Vivian Kalita.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the family would be appreciated.

A memorial visitation for John will be Monday, July 20, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., with Rev.
