John Konicki

John Konicki, age 81 of Knox passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024. He was born on January 3, 1943, in Gary, Indiana. John was a 1961 graduate of Hobart High School and went to work for US Steel as a Roller. After retirement he moved to his farm in Knox where he was an avid hunter and enjoyed many peaceful days on his property. He loved his family and will always be remembered as a generous and kindhearted person.

He is survived by his nieces, Patricia (Dennis) Heckler, Theresa (Ron) Lee, Marianne Brush, Mary Joy (Bob) Boby; and many loving great nieces, great nephews, family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Veronica Konicki.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 am Saturday, April 6, 2024, directly at St. Bridget Catholic Church at the corner of Front and Center Streets, Hobart.
