John E. Lynn, Sr., age 65, of Lake Station, IN, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022.

John was born on January 27, 1957 in Ohio to the late Scott and Deloris (nee Dillion) Lynn.  He worked as a truck driver for over 30 years, most recently American Paving.  He married the love of his life, Carla (nee Barrentine) Lynn, on July 11, 1981.  John loved everything to do with motorcycles.  He liked to work on, build, and ride and even collected small motorcycle figurines.  He also liked cars.  John loved his wife and family most of all.

John is survived by hi wife of 41 years: Carla; son, John (Kathleen) Lynn, Jr.; granddaughters: Lily and Cassidy Farmer; siblings: Scott "Bug" Lynn, Cindy Mabry, and Sylvia Martin; and many nieces and nephews.

John is preceded in death by his parents: Scott and Deloris and his brother: Eric Lynn.

Family and friends may gather at Christ Lutheran Church (7051 Indianapolis Blvd. Hammond, IN) on Monday, November 28, 2022 from 12:00-6:00 P.M. Please bring a hot dish to enjoy with the family.   Cremation is entrusted to Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are preferred to the Lynn Family.
