John Smith Jr.

John Smith Jr., age 57 a longtime Lake Station resident passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018.  He was born on May 5, 1960 in Muncie, Indiana to the late John and Tillie Smith.  He was very family oriented and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Gisele Davis of Lake Station, IN; three children, Joshwa (Elizabeth) Smith, Tillie (Paul) Mullins, Marie (Chris Smith) Davis,  one sister, Joyce Ann Boswell of Lake Station, IN; one brother, Louie Smith, and three grandchildren, Wyatt Smith, Lynnox Smith, and Paul Mullins Jr., all of Lake Station, IN; one nephew, Louie (Haley) Smith and many other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Harry Smith

Funeral services are Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Crown of Life Church, 2825 Cleveland Ave., Hobart with Rev.Bill Taylor officiating.  Cremation will follow.  Visitation is Friday, January 12, 2018 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Crown of Life Church, Hobart.  Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel completed arrangements.  Call (219) 942-2109.
