JOHN M. YELKICH, SR., age 66, formerly of East Gary, died Friday, November 5, 2010 at home. John was born on May 19, 1944 to John and Ann Yelkich (nee Marich). John attended River Forest High School and married Patricia Dunn on April 24, 1963. He worked at US Steel and then went on to become co-owner and operator of Dekalb Auto Supply in East Gary. John will be missed dearly.

John is survived by his wife of over 47 years, Patricia; sons, John (Kathrine) Yelkich of Lowell and Joseph Yelkich of Wanatah; mother, Ann Yelkich of Valparaiso; proud grandfather of grandchildren, Joey Yelkich and John Yelkich, III; sisters, Annete (Dick) Chael and Rose (Bob) Smith; other loving family and friends.

John was preceded in death by his father, John Yelkich.
