Johnnie B. Pyles

Johnnie B. Pyles, age 89, of Portage passed away Friday, February 7, 2025.  He was born on January 15, 1936, in White Plains, Kentucky to the late Arkley and Levie Pyles. He served his country as a member of the United States Airforce. On December 19, 1980, he married Barbara Smith in East Gary, Indiana. Johnnie retired from Ford Motor Company where he worked in maintenance for over 30 years.

He is survived by his daughter, Vickie (Brian Eddy) Wenk of Valparaiso, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arkley and Levie Pyles; and his beloved wife, Barbara Pyles. The last of his siblings, Johnnie was also preceded in death by 6 brothers and 3 sisters.
