Jonathan W. Gibson, age 39 of Valparaiso passed away Saturday, August 23, 2014. He was born on July 7, 1975 Hobart, Indiana. He graduated from Andrean High School, Class of 1993. Jon worked at Horseshoe Casino as a Dealer. He was an avid bowler, bowling in many leagues. Jon also loved fishing, softball, the San Francisco Giants and golfing.

He is survived by his wife, Tai Gibson (nee Cherne), his daughter, Kaitlyn Gibson, and his son, Hunter Gibson all of Valparaiso, IN; his father, Jeffrey Gibson of Hobart, IN; sister, Lisa Gibson of Hobart, IN; aunt, Patricia Gibson, and niece, Hailee Samuels.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jo Potts, grandparents, Joseph and Dorothy Gibson, and Bert and Marge Basiak.

Funeral services are Friday, August 29, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage, Indiana.
