Jose S. Rosillo, age 82, of Hobart passed away Sunday January 4, 2015 at the St Mary Medical Center in Hobart following a brief illness. Jose was born February 7, 1932 in La Moncada, GTO, Mexico to the late Baltazar and A. Eulalia (Cervantes) Rosillo. Jose was a retired Steel Mill Process Operator with Inland/Arcelor Mittal Steel. Jose was a member of the United Steelworkers Union and St. Mark Catholic Church.

Jose is survived by his loving wife Carlota; nine children Noemi R. (Miguel) Canelo of Portage, Carolina (Jose Antonio) Rojas of Portage, Maria Cruz (Audelio) Arteaga of Munster, Eulalia (Agustin) Carreon of Boone Grove, Laura Rosillo of Portage, Jose Rosillo, Jr. of Hobart, Alejandro Rosillo of Hobart, Sandra (Edgar) Lule of Portage and Gabriela (Marco A.) Soriano of Hobart; two brothers and two sisters Mario (Ma. Carmen) Rosillo, Carmela Vega, Virginia (Marzo) Hurtado and Adolfo (Maria) Rosillo; 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and extended relatives.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mark Catholic Church at 505 W. Ridge Road Gary, Indiana 46408 at 10:00 am on Thursday January 8, 2015 with Rev. Frank D. Torres officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-8 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue Portage, Indiana 46368 with a 5:30pm prayer service. Memorial gifts may be made to St. Mark Catholic Church.
