Joseph "Joe" Edward Clasen

JOSEPH EDWARD "JOE" CLASEN, age 47, of Lafayette, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023.  He was born on October 26, 1975 in Valparaiso, Indiana. He was currently employed at Subaru and formerly at US Steel for 28 years.  Joe was a member of NA at the 5th Street Club, Hannah's Hope and Lighthouse Center. He enjoyed coaching his kids in various sports including basketball, Little League, Jr. Miss Softball, Pop Warner and briefly coached travel softball. Joe enjoyed going to concerts and recently a rodeo in Shipshewana.  Joe also attended many football, basketball and baseballs games.  He was a huge fan of the Chicago Bears, Chicago Bulls and Chicago Cubs

Joe is survived by his children, twins, Kenneth and Kaitlynn Clasen, and Josephina Clasen; father, John Clasen, Sr.; mother, Bonnie (Charles) Smith; brothers, John (Michelle Adams) Clasen, Jr. and Daniel Smith; nieces and nephews, Violet Clasen, Maggie Clasen, Alice Clasen, Walter Clasen, Elijah Smith, Kaylab Parker; partner, Amy Allen; several aunts, uncles, and other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Herbert and Virginia King; paternal grandparents, Donald and Shirley Clasen; uncles, Ronald King, Kenneth King, Richard King; and Joseph Clasen, Sr.; aunt, Karen Nelson.
