Joseph P. Garcia

Joseph P. Garcia, age 77, of Lake Station, passed away Monday, January 18, 2021 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart.  He was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 8, 1943 to the late Joseph and Elisia (Pedraza) Garcia.  Joseph was a proud veteran of the United States Army.  He worked as a Forklift Driver at Jewel for 54 years.  He enjoyed fishing and working, but most of all he loved spending every moment he could with his family.

Joseph is survived by his son, Steven (Kelly) Garcia; grandchildren, Annmarie, Bubba, Dannyjoe, Sissy; great grandchildren, Cyrus, Emmitt, Damon; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Richard Garcia, Josie Calderon; and his parents.

A memorial service will take place Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 5:00 pm with Rev.
