Joseph A. Gronek, age 95, of Portage, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015. He was born on November 17, 1919 in Evanston, Illinois. He enjoyed bowling and fishing. Joseph proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during World War II.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Anna Gronek; sons: Earl (Jeannie) Gronek, Andrew Gronek, Steven (Marcia) Gronek; daughter: Gwendy (Paul) Waldrop; daughter in law: Robyn Gronek; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son: Joseph Gronek Jr.; his parents and several brothers and sisters.
Visitation for Joseph will take place Thursday, August 20, 2015 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, IN with cremation to follow.
