Obituary
JOSEPH PETER LUWPAS, age 52, of Portage, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012. Joseph was born on February 6, 1960 in Gary, Indiana. He was a lifelong area resident and was employed as a carpenter for Elite Construction. Joseph enjoyed golfing, gardening, cooking, watching NASCAR, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his mother, Diane Gymrek of Portage; 1 brother, Robert (Kamela) Luwpas of Portage; 1 sister, Lisa (Jeffrey) Mosier of Portage; nephew, Matthew Baker; niece, Jessica Wireman; step niece, Cathy Jo Havlin; great nieces Cortnee Carlisle and Breanne Havlin; great nephew, Zachary Havlin.
In memory of Joseph a donation may be made to Porter County Cancer Society, 2502 Beech St., Unit 60, Valparaiso, IN 46383.
