Joseph Allen Plesha,age 41, was granted his angel wings on July 7th, 2019. Joe was the most caring person you ever met. He always wanted everyone to be happy and never wanted any negativity with his loved ones. These loved ones, so blessed with Joe's presence in life, will keep him alive through the countless amazing qualities and memories of him. He is survived by his Fiancé, Kelly Jackson of Lake Station IN, Parents: Nellie Plesha of Lake Station IN, Mike (Carole) Plesha of Knox IN. Sisters: Karen (Brian) Korbel of Dyer IN, Julie Plesha of Lake Station IN, Trudy (Shane) Wilkins of Lowell IN. Brother: Allan Urbain of Calumet City IL. Nephews: Brandon (Cassidy) Plesha, Joey Labarron, PFC Watson, Cody, Trace Pittman, Luke Korbel. Great nephew: Maverick Plesha. Nieces: Courtney Plesha, Ashlie Labarron. Aunt: Laura (Joe) Donley Uncle: Carl (Ann) O'Neil Bill Miller. Cousins: Matt and Andy Donley, Shirley Rae (Jeff) Taylor, Kimmy (Rick) Faith, Nancy (Bill) Cox, and Tony O'Neil, Angelle and Angelina Dominique. He was preceded in death by his brother Michael Plesha the third.

Growing up Joe loved to weight lift and play sports, especially football. He was a huge Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs fan. He was also a very skilled bowler having not only bowled on a league but also won several awards, one of which was a ring for 11 strikes in a row. Spending time with his family was one of, if not, his favorite hobbies. No matter the occasion love, laughter, and selflessness was a guaranteed trend with Joe. Through these qualities and more, his loved ones will keep his spirit alive daily. This fact and so many more make it easier not to say goodbye to him, but to just say see you later.

Funeral services are Friday, July 12, 2019 at 10:00am at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage with Rev. Bob Parnell officiating.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage.  Visitation is Thursday, July 11, 2019 from 2pm to 8pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.
