Joseph C Rossi

Joseph C. Rossi, age 76, of Lake Station, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 26, 2017 at VNA Hospice in Valparaiso. He was born on April 29, 1940 to the late Dominic and Rose (nee Panic) Rossi. Joseph was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church in Lake Station and a 1998 retiree of U.S Steel. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines, and was a member of Howlin Mad Marines and the Knights of Columbus. He will be remembered as a loving, brother, uncle, great-uncle and friend.
He is survived by siblings; brother, Dominic Rossi of Lake Station; three sisters, Donna Rossi of East Gary, Angie Rossi-Thomason of Hobart and Phyllis Wilson of Lake Station; many special and loving nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews; very special companion of 22years, Geri Kovel ; good friends, Ed and Carol Dartz and Mike and Kathy Nawrocki and many other loving family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Renee (nee Pawlik) Rossi; his parents; two brothers, John and Mike Rossi and sister, Mary Davis.

Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 a.m. directly at St. Francis Xavier Church, 2447 Putman Street, Lake Station, Indiana 46405, with Father David Kime officiating.
