JOSHUA DAVID OWEN, age 28, of Port St. Lucie, FL, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016. He was born in Merrillville on June 12, 1987 and moved to Florida at a young age. Josh graduated from Martin City High School in Stuart, FL where he was active in music and a member of OPUS. He was an altar server, lector and Eucharistic Minister at St. Martin de Porres in FL. He served in the US Army, and was currently working as an over the road truck driver. Josh's life took him to 47 states and foreign counties. He was a certified diver, the youngest in the country when he was 12, and had a passion for the water and loved surfing. He never knew a stranger because he had the biggest heart and was kind to everyone he met. Josh was quick to laugh and had a zest for life that would light up a room. He was a great son, brother, grandson and will never be forgotten.

He is survived by his father, David Owen, FL; mother, Cindy Owen, Hobart; sister, Lauren Owen, TN; grandparents, Norman "Tom" and Anna Morin, Hobart; aunts, Pat (Judy) Salyer, Lowell, Helene (Tim) Hurst, Hobart; uncle, Norman (Diana) Morin, Jr., Crown Point; many cousins and friends.
