Joy L. Finchum-Conn

Joy L. Finchum-Conn, age 92 of Lake Station passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 23, 2025. Joy was born May 29, 1933, in East Gary, Indiana to the late Lloyd and Louise (Arington) Blake. Joy was a bookkeeper for the Reingold Company. She was a long-time member of Hobart Church of Christ.

Joy is survived by one son, Garry (Dionn) Finchum of Lake Station; three grandchildren, Jason Finchum, Lacey Finchum, and Brittaney Ray; two stepdaughters, Donna (Jerry) Cleek, and Diana (Phil) LaMere; special friends Kristina Vega, Cecilia Vega-Johnson, and Sue Davis; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Conn; her parents; a son, Brian Finchum; a daughter, Kimberly Finchum; and her sister, Marion Brown.

Visitation will be held on Monday July 28, 2025, from 4-8 pm at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road. The funeral will be conducted at 10 am Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Blake Cemetery.
