Joyce E. Butler, age 93, of Laporte, passed away Thursday, October 26,2023 at the Brickyard Health Center. She was born on August 19, 1930, in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Floyd G and Inez (nee Chandler) Massey. Joyce dedicated her life to her family and was a member of the New Chicago Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She is survived by her son, Jerry (Amanda) Butler; daughter, Jean (Bruce) Lorr; five grandchildren, Ashley, Emily, Michael, Christina, and Phillip; two great-grandchildren, Cody, and Bethany; brother, Charlie Massey; two sisters, Judy Lowry and Wanda Burden; numerous other loving family members and friends.

Joyce was preceded in death by her loving husband, Loran Butler; son, Larry Butler; her parents; five brothers, Delmar, LD, Harvey, Neal, and Junior; sister, Peggy Sue, infant sister, Cynthia Fay.
