Obituary

JUAN "EDDIE" AROCHO, age 74, of Lake Station, passed away Monday, October 12, 2015 at St. Mary Medical Center. He was born on August 21, 1941 in Puerto Rico. Eddie served his country in the US Army and was a retiree of Inland Steel. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church and former member and president of Knights of St. John. Eddie enjoyed nature and watching the White Sox play baseball. He will be remembered as a hardworking man who loved his family and the time he spent with them.

Eddie is survived by his 2 sons, Juan "Eddie" Arocho, Jr. of St. Petersburg, FL and Rich (Rose) Arocho of Ft. Wayne; 1 daughter, Millie Arocho of Lake Station; former wife, Ana D. Arocho; grandchildren, Tiffany and Andy Arocho, and Danny and Melanie Bishop; great grandchildren, Natalie, Braydon, and Connor; 3 siblings, Carmen Hernandez of Lake Station, Victor (Carmen) Arocho of Lake Station, and Millie (Luis) Rodriguez of Hobart; sister-in-law, Emma Arocho of Hobart; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Froilan and Juana Arocho; brother, Reynaldo Arocho; sister, Mildred Arocho.

Funeral services for Eddie will be Friday, October 16, 2015 beginning with prayers at 9:15 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., then going in procession to St. Francis Xavier Church, 2447 Putnam St., Lake Station for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Fr. David Kime. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, October 15, 2015 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, (219) 942-2109 or go to www.reesfuneralhomes.com to extend online condolences.
