JUAN GUTIERREZ, age 88, of Hebron, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at the Horton VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso. Juan had been a Hebron resident since 1996 and was a former Lake Station resident for 40 years. He was a retired welder from Inland Steel with over 30 years of service. He is survived by 3 sons, Rolando (Inez) Gutierrez of Roselawn, Juan, Jr. (Jo) Gutierrez of Hobart, Jesus (Andrea) Gutierrez of Hobart, 3 daughters, Gloria (Larry) Caldwell of Hebron, Lupe Guten of Tulsa, OK, Elena (Joe) Duarte of Portage, daughter-in-law, Kim of Portage, 22 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 5 brothers in Mexico and numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elena and 2 sons, Galileo & Arthur Gutierrez.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 26, 2011 from 12:00-2:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm with Rev.
