Juan Cruz Laboy, age 65 a longtime Hobart resident passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018.  He was born on September 19, 1952 in Gary Indiana.  Juan worked at Toyota of Merrillville as an Accountant.  He was a member of St. Bridget Church and the Knights of Columbus, St. Thomas Council #1347.  Juan enjoyed golfing, bowling, good movies, and volunteering.  He had a great-heart and great sense of humor and also enjoyed joking around and making people smile.  Juan enjoyed helping others.  He will be remembered as a loving husband, son, brother, and brother-in-law.

He is survived by his wife, Irma Laboy of Hobart, IN; his father, Felix Laboy of Portage, IN; five sisters, Gladys Laboy, Socorro (Tony) Gonzales, Nancy (Jesse) Murillo, Gloria DeJesus, Carmen (Jerry) Sauceda, one brother, Sammy (Norma) Laboy all of Portage.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Cristina Laboy.
