Juanita "NiNi (nee Stanley) Hughes

Age 83 of Valparaiso passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 27, 1941, in Caruthersville, Missouri to the late Milton and Modene Mary (nee Crowder) Stanley. Her family will forever cherish the memories of her exceptional love and devotion as a mother and grandmother, and she will be deeply missed. She cherished her family, country music, evening car rides with her son, and especially Christmas, with its lights and the delight of watching children were among her treasured pastimes.

Juanita is survived by her son, Michael Hughes; two daughters, Janice (Timothy) Flatz and Candice Hughes; four grandchildren, Jeremy, Tyler, Kaya and Briar Flatz; honorary grandchild, Dalton Minor and other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, sisters and beloved niece, Judy Kirkman.
